Leonard has devoted himself to complex corporate and commercial litigation for a decade, specialising in civil fraud, enforcement litigation, and corporate/M&A disputes; he has extensive experience in defending actions from regulators which would otherwise lead to insolvency and bankruptcy.
Leonard’s clients are HNW individuals and corporates from the United Kingdom, the United States, South Africa, and China; Leonard is regularly instructed by serial entrepreneurs and acts for corporate leisure and hotel chains with any dispute in need of resolution.
Leonard also has a proven track record of bringing and defending actions in insolvency, intellectual property and regularly ensures losses can be pursued via proceeds of crime applications or through to a company’s directors.
Due to Leonard’s exposure as advocate in most civil courts, he provides complete, well rounded opinions on case prospects and the likely final result. Leonard has personally obtained out hours injunctions on a variety of matters to protect clients from the negative repercussions of inaction and has used them as a basis for the settlement of the underlying disputes.
Leonard works closely with each of the firms departments to ensure that any advice given has a rounded view, and ensures that any non-contentious matter is litigation proofed for the future.
Prior to joining Berkeley Rowe Leonard was a partner in a London firm, and was the legal technical adviser to an award winning Legal 500 practice.
